
Business Behavior
TALENT SUMMARY
These are C and D level business operations advisory and transformation roles. You will work closely with the COO and/or business operations management. Depending on the seniority of the position, you will either lead or be a member of the business behavior mathematical modeling (BBMM) team. As a a BBMM member, you will focus on the internal behavior of the business in support of the Business Ecosystem Mathematical Modeling initiative.
You will lead and/or actively participate in the entire lifecycle of high fidelity business behavior mathematical models (BBMMs). You will collaborate with business architecture and business analysis as well as the Data & Analytics group, the Generic Risk Modeling Team, and the Technology Team to produce optimized behavior models that can be readily absorbed into the business operating model.
You should be able to present your insights to the BBMM team and be able to present the BBMM team's insights to business and technical management when called upon to do so. You will need to be able to dive comfortably into the technical weeds when appropriate.
You should be able to articulate the pros and cons of your arguments in terms executives both understand and care about. You should also be able to explain the rationale behind your recommendations in clear, concise business terms backed by sound mathematical reasoning.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
-
lead and/or contribute to the entire BBMM life cycle from ideation to deployment

research products and approaches towards developing new and/or improved BBM models
-
present and publish findings, insights, and proposed actions to both technical and executive audiences
-
lead and/or contribute to establishing, promoting, and continuously improve a BBMM practice within the company

WHAT YOU’LL NEED
-
2 - 10 years academic and/or commercial mathematical modeling experience
-
2 - 10 years academic and/or commercial business process modeling experience
-
2 - 10 years academic and/or commercial knowledge engineering experience
-
2 - 10 years proven ability working and producing results in a diverse, virtual team setting
-
excellent command of the English language, both written and oral
-
proven ability to present findings and rationale to both technical and executive audiences
-
excellent business social skills
-
recent degree/credentials in mathematical modeling or similar discipline
-
recent degree/credentials in business process modeling or similar discipline
WHAT GIVE YOU AN EDGE
-
experience across the mathematical modeling spectrum, ie. analytical, numerical, etc.
-
insurance/reinsurance domain knowledge, preferably P&C and/or L&H
-
perennial student of business process modeling, methodologies, and support tools
-
perennial student of mathematical modeling, methodologies, and support tools
-
perennial student of knowledge engineering, methodologies, and support tools
-
first mover/fast follower of the latest advances in BBMM technology
