Talent Assessment

Talent Assessment identifies where your organization’s existing talent falls short of what is needed for business success.

i4 Insurance Talent applies our i4 Insurance Talent Development Framework© within the context of your organization’s HR management strategy to assess your organization’s current talent base.

​

In sum, we conduct a talent gap analysis by first producing a set of talent contribution charts as conceptually depicted below:

and then projecting the results onto our i4 Talent Contribution Matrix© shown conceptually below:

The i4 Insurance Talent Contribution Matrix© shown immediately above can be used to assess talent by employee, technical capability, social skill, business demand, best practice, industry benchmark, or any combination thereof.

 

The example above shows various clusters of employee contributions where each dot represents one employee’s net contribution. Note the four circles, two or which have only one employee each while the remaining two have multiple employees.  Each circle other than the one labeled “manage carefully” in Quadrant 2 signifies the recommendation for the creation of a unique talent development program for advancement of the employees within that circle to a higher Quadrant.

 

The circle labeled “manage carefully” signifies that employees within this group are of significant value to the organization but require careful management and special work conditions due to the nature of their cultural fit.

 

Talent Assessment complements Talent Acquisition & Recruiting. Whereas Talent Acquisition & Recruiting concentrates on new talent, Talent Assessment focuses on existing Talent. However, both draw from similar elements of the i4 Insurance Talent Development Framework©.

The results produced from Talent Assessment drive Talent Mentoring and Coaching as well as provide key input to constructing the talent development component of a comprehensive capability development strategy and roadmap for the organization as described in Talent Development Partnering
