Motivation Modeling

Talent Development Partnering begins by configuring our i4 Insurance Talent Development Framework© to integrate with your organization’s business strategy framework.

Each organization’s strategic and business planning practice is unique with multiple moving parts. Therefore, for discussion purposes here, we will show only a conceptual representation of Motivation Modeling using the familiar business planning triad of Motivation and Direction, Strategy and Policy, plus Governance and Operations.

​

The diagram below represents a subset of conceptual topics of interest to Motivation Modeling. The yellow arrow highlights the Resource subject for which human resources of interest would be specified. KPIs and KRIs represent Key Performance Indicators and Key Risk Indicators respectively.

In this way, Motivation Modeling drives the formal discovery and rationalization of talent demands required by your organization’s direction and strategy. These talent demands are then used by Talent Acquisition and Talent Assessment  as part of the encircled Strategic Business Demand input conceptually depicted below.

Talent Acquisition identifies target areas for which new talent is needed.  Talent Assessment identifies the custom talent mentoring and coaching programs required for existing talent. The programs required to execute Talent Acquisition as well as Talent Mentoring & Coaching can then be integrated into your organization’s strategic roadmap.

Talent Development Roadmapping

Talent Development Roadmapping folds the detailed Talent Acquisition programs plus custom Talent Mentoring & Coaching programs discovered above into your organization’s strategic roadmap. Again, since each organization’s strategic and business planning practices are unique, here, by way of example, we show only a conceptual representation of a strategic roadmap with its current and target states.

The conceptual depiction below shows high-level current and target states of the organization within its business ecosystem along with the associated current and target state value chains, capability maps, and organizational structures. The Road Map itself features phases, programs and constituent projects, plus a progressive timeline to transition the organization from current to target state.
